Sales Account Manager Trainee Program

What is this?

This is part of our global initiative to recruit and develop the best people.  To emphasize the importance of this belief, you will report directly to the Leadership Team in India.

Upon selection, you will participate in a program designed to prepare you for a career in field sales. The Sales Program consists of departmental rotations which include the technical training in the applications lab, customer contact, inside sales, sales support and marketing. A large variety of tasks provides broad learning during this 2-year program, whilst supporting the immediate needs of the company.

During the training period you are based in Mumbai, India. The final location after training will be decided at that point in time, initially it will be East India. This may be outside of your current region, which may require relocation on your part, giving you the opportunity of gaining extensive experience at an early stage in your career.


  • are interested in a career in professional B2B sales

  • are a team player with a friendly personality, whilst retaining tenacity to chase / follow up / close deals

  • have the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and enjoy creating or improving processes and tools

  • enjoy travelling to multiple customers throughout the assigned territory

To become successful, you typically bring:

  • Ideally a BSc degree in food science or related field. Alternatively, a Commercial degree plus 1-3 years of work experience in a relevant technical environment and/or have B2B sales experience.

  • You must be able to speak, read and write in fluent business English. Additional skills in Bengali, Oriya are highly valued. 

  • You are good at communicating, negotiating and convincing customers 

  • You possess a full, valid driving license.
