Sales Account Manager, Food Colors –Germany

Responsible for DACH region, the primary objective of the Sales Account Manager is to build a profitable sales territory; maximize sales volume and gross margin for all product lines within the Food Color Business.


Main Objective

  • Increase growth for Food Color group in DACH

  • Learn Sensient Products: With the 8 weeks training provided by Sentient, gain a thorough understanding of Sensient products, technologies, systems, supporting functions and culture.

  • Build a successful long-term relationship with clients. Focus on identifying and delivering new sales opportunities within the existing clients

  • Induce and accelerate the market penetration of the our products to medium and large food companies utilizing regular and effective sales and product development activities

  • Collaborate with Sensient's internal resources such as marketing, product development, technology & innovation, manufacturing and distribution to offer value-added solutions.

Additional Duties

  • Effectively developing and expanding a strong customer relationship at all relevant levels
  • Manage large accounts and partner with decision makers for innovative new product development projects
  • Develop, implement, and manage account-specific strategies
  • Delivering accurate short and medium term sales plans and forecasts based on analysis with regard to sales, cost, markets, new business development and customers
  • Contributing information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts

What do you need to bring with you?  

  • Ideally a BA/BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Relevant technical sales experience may substitute a degree.

  • Around 3-5 years of sales experience in a B2B sales environment, preferably within food & beverage flavors/colors, specialty chemicals, or other value-added ingredients industry

  • Business fluency in English and proficiency of German are required
