QC Technician II - Sweet & Beverages Flavor



This position is responsible for the analysis of samples related Sensient Sweet and Beverage operations and the daily operation of the QC GC laboratory. Organizes and conducts testing of product content, independently and in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines.  Documents work and maintains study documentation and laboratory records.



  •  Perform accurate chemical analyses in accordance with standard methods, utilizing equipment such as gas chromatographs, spectrophotometers, density meters, turbidity meters, and other equipment in the Laboratory.
  • Independently use and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks, while learning to perform routine and non-routine maintenance  
  • Perform peer review and QC review of data 
  • Perform assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively completes multiple assignments. 
  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment and maintains a positive attitude. Plans individual workload in coordination with team members. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment that is compliant to GLPs and GMPs 
  • Understand data generated, and history of methods. 
  • Maintain all analytical equipment, including trouble-shooting and calibration to ensure minimal operational down-time
  • Ensure the highest level of commitment to Safe Quality Food (SQF) in order to provide assurance that all products have been produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards.
  • Train other personnel within the laboratory.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science with subsequent laboratory experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experienced.
  • Must have experience using a personal computer in the laboratory environment for data handling and instrument control.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA, HACCP, and SQF.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.
