Title of position: Inventory Tech

 

Hours: 7:30AM – 4:00PM

 

Department: Accounting-Finance

 

Reports to: Inventory Analyst

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for the running of the daily cycle counting process, investigating inventory discrepancies, making inventory adjustments and transfers, updating data in JD Edwards, assisting with closing manufacturing work orders, and other job duties as assigned.

 

Overall responsibility:

 

·       Run the daily cycle count program in JDE; organize and distribute selected count sheets to assigned teams; perform cycle count inventory according to established guidelines, and assist with developing actions to correct inventory inaccuracies

·       Provide support to Inventory Analyst and Plant Controller for inventory investigations, customer inquiry investigations, and other duties as assigned

·       Obtain hi-lo license and operate hi-lo as needed

·       Know PPE and follow safety rules

·       Keep accurate and honest records

·       Maintain an excellent electronic filing process

·       Assume all other duties as assigned based on business and department’s needs

·       Inventory Analyst

·       Plant Controller

·       Shift Supervisors

·       Operators

·       QC Lab

·       Production Planners

 

Education:

 

High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.

 

Experience:

 

1+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing facility

Experience in a warehouse with cycle count program managing inventory

Some experience and/or knowledge in Manufacturing Accounting preferred

 

Knowledge/Skills:

 

·       Knowledge of internal operating processes including warehousing, inventory, scheduling, production, customer service and quality control

·       Strong proficiency in basic math skills

·       Knowledge of basic accounting concepts

·       Above-average computer skills in Microsoft including Outlook,    Excel, and Word; preferred experience in JD Edwards or other similar ERP Platform

·       Ability to effectively operate office equipment including but not limited to laptop, copy machine, and scanner.

·       Ability to operate a forklift (sit-down hi-lo at minimum)

·       Ability to handle up to 55 pound packages
